The single most common New Year’s Resolution that I see each year is trying to stay healthy, but this doesn’t tend to work out in practice. How many people have tried to start their year off on the right foot and ended up right where they always were before the month even ended? Part of it may not be your lack of dedication, it may be because you’re not going about things in a way that sets you up to succeed.
Here are a few ways you can stay healthy, be yourself, and enjoy the process:
1. Try a dance studio. In addition to getting some valuable exercise time, dancing helps you feel sexy, young, beautiful, and fun. If you’re looking for a family activity, you can even bring along the kids to join you. Whether you’re a hip-hop fan or more into jazz dancing, different classes offer options for everyone.

2. Boxing class. Have you heard of the model Adriana Lima? Her workout of choice is boxing, which is an activity that is surprisingly effective for working out your entire body. Put down your other equipment and pick up the gloves for a workout that will help develop your cardio and coordination, all while melting pounds away for your summer beach body.
